What systems do you work with?
- DragonFlyBSD for servers
(HTTP, SSH/SFTP, DNS, NFS);
- OpenBSD for firewalls / access points;
- NetBSD for clients (that means
your laptop/workstation);
- GNU Guix for developer systems;
- For other services, most notably e-mail, I work with Europe-based,
privacy respecting third parties.
Do these systems interact well with my existing ones?
It depends.
How do you handle pricing?
Depends on the size and complexity of your project.
What programming languages do you use?
Python and Shell for common system administration tasks,
Scheme for everything else.
Scheme? You must be joking!
Nope.
But we need (Java|C#)! Why won't you learn (Java|C#) so we can hire you
right away?!
I've heard that one way too often - the answer is still 'nope.'
